Wordpress for the iTouch

I just downloaded the wordpress app for my iPod so I can type very short posts whenever I have a wifi connection. This isn’t the best solution as I suck at the touch keyboard, but practice makes at least a little better. I’m still on Boston but it looks like we will on our way in a few.

Three children are cute, but only for awhile . I took a few adorable pictures of the kids with my new 50mm prime. I absolutely love it. I would have tried for a few more while the light was good, but they weren’t in the mood for sitting still. I’ll post a few when I get them edited.

My uncle is certified with the state police andthe NRA to teach firearm techniques and safety. I got the basic course in handgun safety and handling. I’ll post more avoid it when I have a keyboard.

Speaking of, time to get the car packed.

  1. Were you high when you wrote this post?

You’ve got several concepts all blurred into incomprehensible sentences, references to events with no context for understanding them, and bizarre spelling or typing errors.

“I’m still on Boston but it looks like we will on our way in a few.”

Huh? “still on Boston”? “we will on our way” ? Even if I get around the awkward sentence structure, does this mean that you’re in Boston? We who? On our way to where?

“Three children are cute…” This might even be what you mean, but.. are you around three children? Or did you mean “The children…” or “Their children…” ? Or is it really Three?

I’m glad you like the 50. I’m very fond of mine, as well.

It’s interesting that your uncle is a certified firearms instructor. But I’m not sure how that relates to being “still on Boston” or the “Three children” mentioned in the previous two paragraphs. And then we find: “I’ll post more avoid it when I have a keyboard.” Is that “more about it…” maybe? But “avoid” for “about” is a truly strange typeo.

“Speaking of, time to get the car packed.” Uh, for what purpose or to go where, I’ve no idea. Whose car, packed why and with what, to travel whence with whom?

I don’t intend that to read like I’m grilling you. You’ve no obligation to reveal those details on your blog. But you state that it’s time to get the car packed as though your readers would have some idea why.

*shrug* I didn’t mean to attack your whole post. Actually, I just find it amusing because it’s nearly surreal in its confusion.

  2. Hmm.. you’ve pointed out a piece of informational lapse I hadn’t considered. You don’t twitter. If you did, you’d know more about the background behind that post. Still, I am guessing that the few people who read this blog also don’t follow me on twitter, so I should not write like I assume they do.
    That said, get twitter, Tim.
I also posted it without editing, and without reading it because I was just playing with the iPod Touch Wordpress app and just wanted to see how long it would take me to write a short update. I apparently don’t hold on to a single thread in my turbulent stream of consciousness long enough to type it out with two fingers on the touch keyboard. Thus the disjointed post. It was an experiment, and not really a failed one. I just need to be more deliberate with my thinking when I’m not able to type as fast as I can parse my thoughts into English.

  3. Hey, I didn’t mean to attack you or your post. Just pointing out that I (and quite likely your other readers) wouldn’t have any idea what you’re talking about.

*hugs* Hope I didn’t hurt your feelings. I’m GLAD to see you posting more frequently :)

  4. Also, I’ve heard of this twitter thing of which you speak… but how does one twit? or tweet or twerp or whatever? I mean, is it a website I go to, or a plugin I download, or some other software like an IM thinggy? Or is it an online community where I add you as a friend and can see your status?

I fail to understand how it’s different from simply updating your facebook status. But that might just be because I fail to grasp the full concept.
